This was the first show in a long time and I was joined by Jamie. Partly due to the lack of good bands playing during the summer and also other shows required dancing. I can’t dance alone and I dance pretty awkwardly when with others. Junip were a perfect to ease me back in. They were pretty great live and I’d see them again. The drummer stuck out the most to me. He did a pretty great job. Surprisingly the support act was pretty decent. As for ‘Sound Control’ as a venue was actually all right. The sound system wasn’t too bad I’d have to see more bands there before I can list it as a good venue. Crowd was getting into it except for some quite odd stiff people at the front row. Not sure if I have the live show fever yet.

Baths
Went to see Baths earlier tonight and he was bloody incredibly. He had a lot of energy on stage and the crowd was loving it. You could tell he was having a good time. He only stopped playing because he didn’t have enough material. Sadly the set was too short but it was dam fun. Definitely recommend seeing him if you can on the current tour. The show was at the Deaf Institute and has cemented that it is one of the best venues in Manchester. The music was loud but the well balanced so i didn’t need my ear plugs.
Got to meet with all the tumblr people tonight and met with another friend so overall it was a good night. Had a good laugh on top of it all.
